Dynamic Neuromuscular

Stabilization (DNS)

DNS exercises utilize on our innate movement patterns that we learn from birth to walking. The goal is to neurologically remind the body how to use the diaphragm and the ground as a cue to activate optimal body mechanics and deep stabilization systems.

Imagine your abdomen and lower ribcage as if it were a perfect cylinder - like the shape of a soda can. From infancy we start by activating our diaphragm and maintain this cylindrical expansion of the ribs and abdominal walls. From there we progress to lifting our head, grabbing our feet, reaching, rolling, sitting, standing, and walking. All While maintaining our cylinder.
