Hip and Knee Pain
Hip and knee pain are often treated and assessed together.
Common hip and knee symptoms include:
Pain in the groin
Pain in the back of the hip (sciatica)
Pain that refers from the hip to the knee or foot
Pain around the knee/knee-cap
Pain with squatting or using stairs
Clicking or popping in the hip or knees
Pain with the first few steps of walking or rising from the ground
Pain that interrupts your ability to exercise or perform your sport-related activities
The goal of physical therapy is to identify the primary cause of your symptoms (joint, muscle, capsule, nerve) and treat your symptoms based on the identified cause. The primary goal of your treatment is to avoid surgery, if possible, and/or help you recover from surgery. I enjoy working with your surgeon and primary care physician as a team to ensure good communication on your progress and goals.
