Pelvic Pain

Pelvic pain refers to pain that occurs any where around the pelvis, groin, or sacroiliac joint (lowest part of the low back).

This is usually due to overactive pelvic floor muscles, pelvic nerve irritation, or referred pain from dysfunction at other body regions such as the hips and back.

Common pelvic pain diagnoses/symptoms:

  • Chronic/Persistent pelvic pain

  • Vulvar pain

  • Penile/Scrotal pain

  • Pain around the tail bone (coccyx)

  • Vestibulodynia

  • Lower abdominal pain

  • Prostatitis

  • Pudendal neuralgia

  • Dyspareunia - Pain with intercourse

  • Pain with bowel movements
