Bladder Pain

Pain over the bladder region is often associated with symptoms such as:

  • Lower abdominal pain

  • Pain with emptying the bladder

  • Burning with urination

  • Feeling like the bladder is not emptying

  • Urinary Urgency: Feeling the need to rush to the bathroom

  • Urinary Frequency: Going to the bathroom too often

  • Chronic UTIs - sometimes without positive bacterial cultures

Oftentimes this is due to bladder habits, poor water intake, and poor diet. A common diagnosis is interstitial cystitis.

Physical therapy is able to address this with skilled education, manual therapy, and muscular downtraining.
